Then and Now - Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene landed the role of a lifetime inTwilight just three short years ago. Since then, she's blossomed as an actress and cozied up with some very famous Hollywood heartthrobs. Check out some of the starlet's best looks and moments in the spotlight so far.

Originally wanted to be a model, but at 5' 5" she was deemed too short for the runway. Instead she moved from Florida to L.A. to pursue an acting career after high school. Her first TV role was on an episode of Punk'd in 2005.

Greene has come a long way since her days of wearing sundresses and flip flops on the red carpet. Back in 2008 she had just landed the role of Alice Cullen in Twilight and had previously made appearances in a few TV shows.

Twilight premiered in November 2008. The flick received lukewarm reviews from the critics, but that didn't stop the fans from coming out in droves to see the flick in theaters. The movie grossed over $392 million worldwide at the box office.

The Twilight stars were instantly catapulted into the spotlight after the success of the film at the box office. They made appearances together all over the world -- and even at Hot Topic!

Between filming Twilight flicks, the actress could be found at plenty of other red carpet events. She also found time to star in a couple of other movies: She starred in Shrink in 2009, along with straight-to-DVD release Summer's Blood.

Here's a short story: Greene cut off her long locks in 2009! The actress sported a brand new 'do at the MTV Movie Awards. The look didn't last long, but she pulled it off.

This starlet never looks bad on the red carpet. Here she is at the Do Something Awards, where she displayed a tasteful amount of spray tanned skin.

It's hard to believe, but New Moon brought in even more cash than Twilight after its November 2009. The flick had the highest single day, domestic gross on an opening day, with $72.7 million. It went on to bring in $570.1 million worldwide.

This star is mom to an adorable pup named Marlo. The fox terrier was rushed to the hospital after being attacked by another dog in early 2011, but he pulled through just fine.

History was made again in June 2010. Eclipse become the highest-grossing film of the franchise while in theaters, and made a whopping $68.5 million in its opening day in just the US and Canada. Of course, Greene was glowing at the film's premiere.

Greene was the proud recipient of a Teen Choice Award surfboard at the 2010 show. She won the Scene Stealer Female prize!

This hot couple was still going strong at the end of 2010. They lasted all the way through the starlet's 24th birthday, when the JoBro gave her a vintage Chanel charm bracelet. Alas, even that precious piece of jewelry couldn't make the love last.

This star has been awarded for her awesome style and red carpet looks. She received the 2011 Style Icon Award and looked stunning at the "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in May.

And the actress works hard to continue looking hot at movie premieres and ultra exclusive Hollywood parties. She hits the gym nearly every day!

Greene isn't a musician, but she did hit up the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in September 2011. It was the place to see and be seen, and this star certainly stood out in her revealing black dress.

This lovely lady stole the show at the Avon Foundation for Women Awards in 2011 in this electric blue Donna Karan gown. The actress was announced as the new face of DKNY just weeks prior to this glam event.
