After months of rumors swirling, Ashton Kutcher, 33, and Demi Moore, 48, are divorcing after six years of marriage. In an official statement, Demi broke the news:
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”
The couple had remained mum on Ashton’s alleged infidelity. Back in September, Star magazine reported that Kutcher cheated on Demi in San Diego with a woman named Sara Leal, and photos of two partying together surfaced shortly after.
Us Weekly sources claim that Ashton enjoyed a hot tub rendez-vous on Sept. 24 at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego – the same day as his wedding anniversary to Demi. (At the time, Demi was reportedly promoting her new Lifetime movie, Five, in New York City.) According to the report, Ashton met 23-year-old blonde Sara Leal at Fluxx nightclub shortly after 4AM. He then escorted Leal and her friend to his $2,500 per-night hotel suite, where they jumped into the hot tub, naked, “within five minutes.”
The couple had put on a united front over the last few weeks, but Demi was photographed Wednesday walking around Beverly Hills definitely looking pretty skinny. Clutching an energy drink in her hand, Demi’s wedding ring was definitely visible while running errands.
