As summer winds down and thoughts turn to fall activities, it is natural to begin to take stock of what we have created, we wanted to create and what we plan to create for the rest of the year. It also marks the time when many spiritual traditions celebrate a "new year". The idea behind this is that we are beginning the harvest and becomes a moment of reflection before the dryness of winter.
A new spiritual year can be one of several days in September, October or November, depending on the spiritual tradition to continue. Many start either September 1 or October 31 (Samhain). This year, the recognition of a personal spiritual new year, is particularly important due to the current energy leads to changes in 2012 astrological. There has been much interest in 2012 and the end of the world. Hollywood released a new blockbuster in 2009, titled 2012, based on the Mayan calendar ends abruptly on December 21, 2012. But what of this, and what does this mean for humanity?
This is a catastrophic outcome for the planet Earth or is simply the end of the world as we know it?
The Mayans predicted throughout our history, times of drought, flooding and political instability. The end of the calendar in the December 21, 2012 is believed to have two different interpretations.
One interpretation is that it will be a change in the human psyche and we will have a global spiritual change, where the Earth as we know it will cease to exist and a new Earth will take place in the racial divisions are no longer evident, and in the world Peace is possible.
The other line of thought away from a spiritual awakening in 2012, is that the Earth is in an apocalyptic situation and all life on Earth will be destroyed. Scientists have also explored this scenario, and a popular line of thought is that the north and south pole "flip" because the Earth is (for the first time in 25,000 years) fully in line with Ecuador Milky Ways.
